Product Information Playing with Sounds and Letters provides a wealth of resources to make learning about letter sounds and shapes playful, engaging and relevant for young children. Using songs, movement, words and pictures, it adopts a multisensory approach where visual, auditory and kinaesthetic teaching and learning combine in activities that are highly effective, easy to remember and great fun.
Interactive CD-ROM
This is for use on PC and Interactive whiteboard. Play the songs to introduce the letter sound and letter formation, then move the characters around the letter shape yourself.
The original songs, animations and activities teach letter sounds and letter formation together. It’s a multi-sensory approach that harnesses the power of music and movement to actively engage children and support memory. From active acrobats to zipping zebras, the colourful scenes and characters are instantly engaging and children are also encouraged to look carefully to see if they can spot other objects starting with that letter.
The animations show letter formation and children join in by tracing them in the air. The fun continues as they control the characters onscreen, moving them around the letter shape whilst singing along.
