MathBase1 is a collection of easy to use programs that provide differentiated practice of elementary maths skills. Programs 1, 2 and 3 deal with the representation and understanding of whole number to 10, 20 & 100. The fourth program 'Number Bonds' and the newly added fifth program 'Number Tables' provide structured practice of the four number operations.

With more than 2000 UK schools using MathBase, increasing numbers of pupils are using the software at home. MathBase helps pupils work more independently, it gives them a greater feeling of control, capability, freedom and ownership. 

The software is built around sequences of achievable targets (small steps) which are self-motivating. In turn, this helps pupils work more collaboratively with their teachers and boosts their 'mathematical' confidence.

Once pupils develop 'ownership' of their targets they are more motivated to achieve them. If extra practice at school is difficult - this can be overcome by using MathBase at home.

Many pupils also enjoy using MathBase at break times and at school clubs.
